CHILDRENS COMPUTERS

Most libraries have computers for people under 16 in their childrens areas. Adults accompanying children may use these computers, too.

Children must use their own library cards to sign on to the computer. Children may get a card with their parent, grandparent, or guardian's permission.

COMPUTER USE TIPS

  • If no computers are available, make a reservation at the service desk.
  • You will get at least one hour a day, and more if no one is waiting.
  • Need sound? Bring your own headphones or buy a basic pair for $2.
  • Computers shutdown automatically 15 minutes before closing.

Printing costs 20¢ for black & white and 50¢ for color. At the Central Library, you can also print from a laptop or tablet.

MINECRAFT AND OTHER GAMING PROGRAMS

The Cranston Public Library seeks to make gaming a social experience by bringing children together, equalizing accesss to games, and encouraging respectful online behavior.

We also strive to offer programs that teach children to be creators and not just consumers of games and other technology.
