American Creed: Screening & Community Conversation

American Creed: Screening & Community Conversation
Wednesday, July 24 |  6:00 - 8:30 PM @ Central
Location: Central James T. Giles Community Room

Join us for a screening of the PBS documentary AMERICAN CREED. In the film, former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Pulitzer Prize-winning historian David M. Kennedy come together from different points of view to investigate the idea of a unifying American creed. Their spirited inquiry frames the stories of citizen-activists striving to realize their own visions of America's promise
across deepening divides.

Following the film, there will be a facilitated discussion to allow for personal reflection and dialogue. The discussion will be led by Larry Warner, MPH, Cranston resident and Director of Grants and Strategic Initiatives for United Way of Rhode Island.

This event is presented in partnership with  OneCranston Working Cities Challenge Initiative and is free and open to the public.
