COVID-19 Update - 5/14/2020

Phase 1- Resumption of Library Services

Now that the Governor has lifted the stay-at-home order, the Cranston Public Library will be resuming limited access to library materials and services in phases over the next several weeks. Our plans have been developed in consultation with the Library Board of Trustees and Mayor Allan Fung and are based on guidance from Governor Raimondo and the Rhode Island Office of Library and Information Services Task Force on Reopening Libraries.

Starting on Monday, May 18th, we are launching a contactless pick up service which will enable our patrons to request materials that are in our library buildings. Using this service, patrons will be able to request up to five items at a time. Contactless pickup will be available at all locations except the Arlington branch. Please note that we will have limited staffing during this time and you may have to leave a message.

We will also be offering a remote printing service for up to 10 pages free with contactless pick up.

Our staff is busy getting our buildings ready to reopen to the public with limited hours and services in Phase 2. We will release more information at a later date.
We miss seeing all of our patrons and hope to be able to see you all again soon.
