Book Discussion Group 2019 @ Central: How It Works

How It Works!

  • Current members must register at Central Library Reference Desk
  • Until further notice, new registrations are closed for 2019; the Central Book Discussion Group is at full capacity!
  • For this reason, we ask current members to make every effort to regularly attend meetings
  • Copies will be reserved in advance for registered members
  • The next month's book is available at the previous month's meeting
  • Read the book and join the discussion
  • Choose from 3 monthly meetings:
    • 3rd Tuesday or Wednesday at 6:30 PM
    • 3rd Thursday at 2 PM
  • Please be on time; meetings last one hour
  • Everyone is entitled to an opinion; don't be afraid to voice yours!
  • Kindly allow others to express views
  • Speak up; avoid side conversations; save personal anecdotes for later
  • Pick up next month's title when the meeting ends; stop by the Circulation Desk to check it out
  • Members present at meetings have first priority for reserved copies
  • After all 3 monthly meetings have concluded, registered members who did not attend a meeting may pick up remaining reserved copies, subject to availability
