Cranston, RI – The Cranston Public Library has received two Core PR Xchange Awards from the American Library Association (ALA) for its 2023 Impact Report and 2023 Youth Summer Reading Video - Make Some Noise!
The annual Core PR Xchange Awards Competition recognizes the best public relations materials produced by libraries in the past year. Entries are evaluated on content, originality, creativity, and design. They are judged by a panel of marketing professionals, graphic designers, librarians, and visual artists.
The 2023 Impact Report was awarded for the Advocacy/Fundraising/Annual Reports, and Strategic Plans, print category, and the 2023 Youth Summer Reading Video received an award in the Reading Programs, electronic category. The Core PR Xchange Committee judging the competition received more than 334 entries for print and electronic products from more than 100 institutions, giving awards to 27 print and 27 electronic winners.
The Impact Report was designed by Sarah Bouvier, CPL Library Communications Manager, and the Summer Reading Video was written by Youth Services Coordinator, Emily Brown, filmed and edited by Sarah Bouvier, and performed by Youth Services staff.
