They're all residents of the "Harmony Arms", a quirky apartment complex in Los Angeles where Gabriel (the perpetually embarrassed son) and his dad (the guy with the puppets) settle to find fame and fortune after leaving their boring hometown.

Ah, the torment of being fourteen, in love with a gorgeous boy, having a nose the size of a planet (along with a zit, no less), an insane cat, a feisty three-year old sister. Add in that she unwisely chooses to dress up as an olive for a costume party. Despite her problems, Georgia is fabbity-fab-fab.

Steve York is the son of a famous astronaut and senior-year slacker. After being given a 100 page writing assignment so he can graduate, Steve chronicles his pre-badboy existence in this funny, sarcastic look at the life of a not-so-typical genius/smart alec.

Cecil in Space

Recommended for grades 6-8.
Cecil's life isn't so bad, considering his best friend is accused of and may or may not be responsible for vandalizing public property. And, although he's failed his driver's test twice and his mentally ill aunt thinks he's an astronaut, he's still pretty happy. After all, he's in love. He just can't decide with whom.
