Screening & Discussion of "13th" @ William Hall

Join us at the William Hall Library on Thursday, March 30 at 6 PM for a viewing of Academy Award-nominated documentary 13th and a post-film discussion. Director Ava DuVernay's powerful film charts the line from slavery to modern mass incarceration. A community conversation on the subject will follow, led by a James Vincent (President, NAACP Providence Branch), Jennifer Magaw (Board Member, RI ACLU), Vanessa Flores-Maldonado (STEP UP Network), and Professor Leslie Grinner (Rhode Island College). This documentary contains scenes that some viewers may find disturbing.
