The AARP/IRS tax return program will begin at the William Hall Library on Thursday, February 2. Services will be offered from 10 AM-2 PM every Thursday through April 6. AARP Foundation Tax Aide is available free to taxpayers with low and moderate income, with special attention to those 60+. This service is offered by trained professional volunteers on a first-come, first-served basis.
Each taxpayer must bring his/her Social Security Card, a photo ID, last year’s tax return, and all 2016 tax information, arranged in an orderly manner. The IRS has instituted new software and AARP is asking that all taxpayers be patient.
